Open Palace Programmes Bursaries for 2020
The Open Palace Programme is very pleased to announce that we have been successful in achieving funding for 6 bursaries for 2020.
Two of these bursaries will take the form of a reduction of £500 to the full programme fee and all applicants will be considered for these.
Four of these bursaries are especially dedicated by national Museums Associations and are intended for their members who are pursuing a career in heritage in their country. Each Museum Association requires successful applicants to provide written feedback on their OPP experiences.
All these bursaries are aimed at those who have demonstrated a particularly strong commitment to the heritage sector through voluntary or paid work and will take into account the career stage of the applicant.
You will be automatically considered for all relevant bursaries once you have gained a place, paid your deposit and filled out the bursary form. The bursary form will be sent to all participants who have paid their deposits in Late September of their year of application.
After you have paid your deposit we will ask you to fill in a form detailing your most significant voluntary or paid experience in the heritage sector and to explain how taking part in the OPP programme will help your particular professional development.
All OPP participants will be assessed for a bursary on a case-by-case basis and will be notified about whether they have gained a bursary by December 2020.
The decision of The Open Palace Programme Panel is final and the Open Palace Programme Secretariat will not enter into any discussion or correspondence about it.
